The third day of the International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM-2018 is over.
Within the framework of the International Logistics Forum, the session "The main trends of development of the trans-Euro-Asian logistics partnership" was held. GEFCO Commercial Director Nikita Pushkarev noted the growing competition between sea and rail: "There are quite a lot of factories in China today, basically everyone is trying to produce, it is logistically profitable, basing their factories closer to large ports.
However, up to now, about 50% of the factories are located more than 1000 km from the large port cities of China, which just indicates that we can enter into such constructive competition with the sea transport and attract this very promising cargo to our territory. When we talk about such specific products (cars), consumer behavior and consumer interests primarily play a role here, so in our view, it is just here that transit time can be a key competitive advantage. "
Nikita Pushkarev also pointed out that any port operations are quite expensive, so rail transportation can significantly benefit in this process: "Finished cars are very sensitive to damage: there will be less in the way of the transshipment of the goods car, the better the quality of delivery."

At the final session of the Forum of Component Manufacturers "Development of suppliers in modern Russian industry", Mikhail Ivanov, the director of the machine-building and investment engineering department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, summed up the results of the forum and expressed hopes for the development of the format of interaction: "We held the third component forum, and it became quite clear that the format caught on .
