From May 18 to 29, 2018 passenger and cargo test transportation will take place on the route Dalian (PRC) - Manchuria (PRC) - Zabaikalsk (RF) - Novosibirsk (RF).
The event will be held to implement the decisions of the Protocol of the Working Party on Road Transport and Roads of the twenty-first meeting of the Subcommission on Transport Cooperation of the Commission for the Preparation of Regular Meetings of the Heads of Government of the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China (Chengdu, 2017).
The decision to organize the rally was taken at the Working Meeting on Selected Issues of International Road Transport between the Russian Federation and the PRC, which was held from 12 to 14 March in Beijing.
The test motor rally will allow transport companies of Russia and China to assess the prospects of this route in the framework of future interaction in the field of road transport, to monitor administrative barriers, to study the state of road and roadside infrastructure, and the degree of harmonization of customs procedures.
Responsible organization for the conduct of the run from the Russian side, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation was appointed by the Agency for Road Transport (Rosavtotrans). One of Russia's largest truck freight FTL carriers, the Globaltruck group of companies, is involved in the race.
