The Russian Michelin plant in Davydovo in October 2018 was successfully audited for compliance of the quality management system with the requirements and standards of Ford.

According to the press service of Michelin, during the audit, Ford’s auditor inspected all stages of the Michelin tire production cycle, especially the Michelin Energy Saver model, which has been supplied as a primary package for Ford Focus to the Ford Sollers Vsevolozhsk plant since 2006. An expert from Ford noted a high level of Michelin tire production quality and a structured approach to operator training.

According to the results of the audit, the Michelin plant in Davydovo confirmed the status of a supplier of level Q1, assigned in 2009. “Michelin cooperates with the largest automakers around the world, supplying them with Michelin tires for primary equipment. The Michelin plant in Russia, like all plants of the Group, regularly undergoes an internal audit, an audit of independent organizations and an audit by its automotive partners. The Q1 certificate of the highest level of confidence testifies to the exceptional quality of our product, and also means that all our production and business processes meet both the uniform standards of the Group and the strict requirements of Ford, ”said Bogdan Mariansky, director of the Michelin plant in Davydovo.

Ford’s inspection audit at the Davydovo production site is held every year. The Q1 certificate is Ford's unified international quality system. To obtain status, it is necessary to meet the strict requirements of the automaker for logistics, the organization of a quality management system and production processes.
